Theodore P. "Ted" LeBlanc

Theodore P. "Ted" LeBlanc has been defending people charged with DUI, traffic, and criminal cases in Maryland since 1996. He has personally defended over 1,500 DUI cases. Mr. LeBlanc is an active member of the National College of DUI Attorneys and the Maryland Criminal Defense Attorneys Association. He is Certified in Standardized Field Sobriety Testing, having been taught the same discipline provided to law enforcement officers. Most people charged with DUI cases, also have to battle the MVA. Mr. LeBlanc has represented thousands of people at MVA hearings, including litigating and winning MVA appeals. Mr. LeBlanc defends all criminal cases, ranging from simple misdemeanors to major felonies.

In addition to his criminal practice, Mr. LeBlanc represents a large number of people injured in auto accidents. He is keenly qualified in this area, because prior to becoming a private attorney, he was employed with Progressive Insurance for 11 years in auto claims (1984 to 1995). During his career with Progressive, he learned how insurance companies investigate, evaluate, and settle automobile claims. While at Progressive, he advanced from a claims adjuster whose territory was Southern Maryland, Prince George's and Anne Arundel Counties, to the Maryland State Claims Manager. Mr. LeBlanc understands how best to present your claim to the insurance company in order to get you what you deserve and, if fair money is not offered, he has the skills to take your case to court to best pursue your interests.

In November 2014, Mr. LeBlanc was elected by the people of Calvert County as Judge of the Orphans’ Court for Calvert County. Judge LeBlanc presently sits court once a week, where he rules on probate cases. As a member of the Maryland Judiciary, he regularly attends continuing legal education, sponsored by the Maryland Judicial Institute, located in Annapolis. In 2016, Judge LeBlanc was appointed by Maryland Court of Appeals Chief Judge, Mary Barbera, to serve on the Conference of Orphans’ Court Judges.
